DESCRIPTION:
The Fume Hood is an enclosure designed to eliminate fumes and airborne particles directly at the source of contamination. It functions as a specialized ventilation system, effectively removing smoke, dust, mist, and chemical fumes while preventing them from entering the laboratory environment. iGene Labserve fume hood systems are built to
comply with ASHRAE standards and are resistant to all types of acid exposure. Additionally, we offer customized designs for laboratory fume hoods suited for Hydrofluoric and Perchloric acid applications upon request.
WORKING CHAMBER:
The inner working chamber of a fume hood is the most critical component, as it is directly exposed to fumes, acids, and various chemicals. At iGene Labserve, we construct the inner chamber walls from high-grade stainless steel (304/316), with an optional FRP coating for enhanced protection if required.
EXTERNAL SURFACE:
These cabinets are ergonomically engineered for durability and long-lasting performance. Constructed using only high-quality, thick metal sheets and pipes, they ensure the highest level of safety and reliability. We offer three material options for construction:
- Complete Stainless Steel 304
- Galvanized Mild Steel with Powder Coating
- Stainless Steel 316
SERVICE VALVES:
Service valves can be customized to meet user requirements for both wet and dry services, such as raw water, nitrogen gas, air, and more
ELECTRICAL UTILITIES:
Electrical sockets can be configured based on user requirements, with options for 2, 4, or 6 sockets, available in 6A or 15A connections
SASH:
The glass window features a counter-balanced mechanism for smooth up and down movement of the sash. The sash track system, consisting of weights and a pulley, allows the operator to easily adjust the sash to the desired height during operation.
CHEMICAL STORAGE CABINET:
Ventilated cabinets for chemical storage are available at the base in various configurations. Lockable wheels can also be added upon request for enhanced mobility.
CERTIFICATIONS:
Our fume hoods are designed to meet key quality standards, including ASHRAE 110-1995 and EN 14175-2003. Additionally, we offer custom-designed fume hoods tailored to the specific size of the laboratory and individual user requirements.
